Launched in 2012, the Southeast Division is based in Dallas and serves communities in Texas and across the Southeast region, with greater outreach through our Georgia and Houston Chapters. Our grant focus areas include disaster preparedness and relief, children at risk, education and veterans. To date, the Southeast Division has awarded more than $9 million dollars to our local communities through the IICF Community Grants Program.
IICF helps communities and enriches lives by combining the collective strengths of the insurance industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership. IICF reinvests locally where funds are raised for maximum community impact.

Jordyn serves as National Practice Director, Private Equity and M&A for IMA. As an Industry Specialty Leader, Jordyn is responsible for creating the vision for growth within her specialty, leading the strategy, execution, and delivery of IMA’s M&A products and services to achieve that vision. Under her leadership, the practice has grown tremendously, spanning across all areas of IMA Financial Group’s businesses including Property & Casualty Insurance, Health & Welfare, Retirement, and Financial Due Diligence. Through her 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jordyn brings experience in national leadership, global insurance programs, and working with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. Prior to joining IMA in 2021, Jordyn spent 6.5 years on Willis Towers Watson’s Dallas-based M&A Team and before that, she was as a Senior International Underwriter for CNA’s Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Central regions. In addition to her work at IMA, Jordyn is passionate about giving back to her community. She is an IMA Foundation Board Member, a weekly volunteer at Equest (Therapeutic Horsemanship), an active member of the Junior League of Dallas and The Insurance Industry Charitable Fund (IICF). Jordyn earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in International Business from Rollins College, and she maintains both her CIC and CPCU designations.
Joe Connelly serves as President of the South Central Zone for the General Insurance operations of AIG. General Insurance is the business division that serves the Commercial Insurance markets. Joe is responsible for leading the strategy, execution and delivery of General Insurance’s core businesses and service capabilities to its clients, brokers and agents. The South Central Zone is comprised of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi.
Through his tenure in the insurance industry, Joe brings experience in leadership, regional operations, energy, major accounts and distribution in Texas and the surrounding markets. He joined AIG in June 2018 from Chubb, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President in the North America Major Accounts Division.
Prior tohis role at Chubb, and ACE Group’s acquisition of Chubb, he held the position of Regional Executive Officer, Houston Region for ACE USA. Before joining ACE in 2008 he worked in the downstream energy industry for 17 years.
Mr. Connelly earned a BA in Business Administration from Texas Lutheran University and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas (Houston). And, Mr. Connelly serves as a Board Member for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, as well as the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) for the Southeast Division.
Ross Conner, CIC, CRM, is a partner at Hotchkiss Insurance in Dallas/Fort Worth. Prior to joining Hotchkiss, Ross gained more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Today, he serves clients in a range of industries, including trampoline and adventure parks, real estate, construction, manufacturing, energy and franchise operations. Further, his expertise extends to include captive placements. Ross is passionate about serving his community, and is the chairman of Hotchkiss Helps, Hotchkiss Insurance’s charitable arm, serves on the board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association, the Aledo Education Foundation and is a founding advisory board member of the Fort Worth Minority Professional Task Force.
His designations include General Lines Agent for Property, Casualty, Life and Health. Ross has earned the insurance industry’s prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations. Originally from Tyler, Texas, Ross received his BBA in finance from Texas A&M University.
Craig Dunn joined Amwins in 2005 after spending 5 years as a financial analyst for a boutique venture capital firm. In Craig’s current role, he is the Texas Region Leader of AmWINS and leads the Professional Lines & Cyber team. Additionally, Craig serves on the Amwins Brokerage Advisory Board and is a Managing Director of the Amwins Professional Lines National Practice Group.
Jack Gibson, CPCU, CRIS, ARM, is one of a rare breed who actually majored in risk and insurance in college. Upon earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia, he realized he wasn’t ready to leave the good life of college or give up on UGA’s football chances. So he stayed to enjoy two more football seasons while earning an MBA and completing the CPCU program.
Jack began his career as a risk management consultant in Dallas, advising public entities, financial institutions and contractors. He left consulting in 1982 to join the IRMI leadership team that built the company into the premier risk and insurance education, information and conference organization it is today. As part of this process he initiated an IRMI partnership with a dot-com start-up called WebCE in 2000 and helped build it into the largest insurance CE provider in the country, with IRMI ultimately acquiring WebCE in 2011. He currently serves as CEO of both companies.
Jack is a member of the CPCU Society, having held many committee and officer positions, including president of the Dallas Chapter, and serving on the International CPCU Society’s board of directors.
In 1996, he was honored as University of Georgia’s Outstanding Insurance Alumnus of the year. In 2009, the Society of Risk Management Consultants designated him as an honorary member in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the practice of risk management. In 2017 he was elected an Honorary Fellow in the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel for his “contributions to the practice of insurance law and having attained a high degree of respect and eminence.” In 2018 the CPCU Society honored him with the prestigious Gottheimer Malecki Memorial Award.
Andrew Grim is Brown& Riding's ExecutiveDirector of Specialty and works with the Executive Leadership Team and Practice Group Leaders to promote marketing uniformity, streamline recruiting efforts, and manage specialty formation and development. He is also responsible for making recommendations regarding any and all personnel related to the firm's specialty practice groups.
Andrew also serves as Brown & Riding's National Casualty Practice Leader, a position he has held since 2021 in which he oversees the practice group's continued growth and marketplace reputation as well as coaching and mentoring support staff and developing brokers.
He has been an integral part of Brown & Riding for ten years, joining the company in 2014 to help start the Dallas, TX office. He has been instrumental in propelling the company's rapid growth nationally and became a company Principal within his first three years with the firm. In addition to his Executive Director of Specialty and National Casualty Practice Leader roles, he manages his own production team and has consistently been a top new business producer for the firm, specializing in construction.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been an innovator of Excess & Surplus Lines products and works closely with his associates to solve the needs of clients and their respective insureds. He maintains a very high commitment to excellence through his professionalism and transparency with retailers and carriers and specializes in all types of casualty insurance programs for large residential, commercial, and public works construction developers and contractors; commercial and residential real estate portfolios; and all aspects of comprehensive consolidated insurance programs(CIPs, OCIPs, and CCIPs).
Prior to becoming Executive Director of Specialty, Andrew oversaw Brown & Riding's internal professional development program for aspiring brokers, the "Rainmaker Group," from2018 to 2023. He was recognized as one of 2019's "Hot 100" by Insurance Business America and was also named 2019 "Young Broker of the Year" by Insurance Insider, an award celebrating a single, key individual in the global broking sector, aged35 and under, who has made significant contributions to the industry and its future development. He has continued to be a member of WSIA's Membership &Ethics Committee since 2018 and is also a current IICF Southeast Division Board Member.
Parker Hamilton began his career with Sammons Insurance Agency as a property and casualty producer in 2003. Sammons was acquired by Frost Bank in August of 2004. Frost Bank is a Texas chartered bank with $42 Billion in Assets and just under 5,000 Employees. Frost specializes in Banking, Investments, and Insurance.
Frost Insurance Agency has offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Victoria, Midland and Corpus Christi.
Parker spent the first 17 years of his career as producer and accepted the role of President of the Dallas market in January of 2021
Parker Graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a BA in Business Marketing and currently lives in Frisco Texas with his wife Janet and three girls, Kate, Brynlee, and Camryn.
In his free time Parker is very involved with his church, loves golf, and coaches his girls in basketball and volleyball.
As VP of P&C Marketing at USI Dallas, Whitney specializes in market identification, program design, market relationships and negotiation. Whitney also works to manage carrier relations and overall market appetite and fit for insureds.
Since joining USI in November 2017, Whitney has been successful in helping Producers win and retain business. She collaborates with all account teams and Producers to identify markets and create best-in-class programs for insureds through strategic negotiation with key carrier partners on pricing, structure, terms and conditions. Whitney also leads the efforts to foster existing and develop new market relationships.
Prior to joining USI, Whitney spent six years at Lockton Dallas, working on large, complex, national and international accounts.
With over a decade of industry experience, Whitney has worked within a wide range of client verticals, an array of complex national, international and small to middle market accounts, and developed an extended network of carriers, wholesalers and other trading partners.
Whitney graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Hart Humble is the SVP for Customer & Broker Engagement for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), for the SouthCentral Region. Hart has spent more than 30 years in the insurance industry. Her experience includes senior level roles in underwriting executive lines as well as business development at major insurance companies and brokers. Having worked for carriers, as well as brokers in the E&S marketplace, she has a unique ability to see risks from multiple angles. Hart leverages her 30 years of experience in the insurance market to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and end buyers of insurance.
Dan Kennedy is the Mid South Regional President for Markel Specialty, the US insurance operations for Markel Corporation. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, and founded in 1930, Markel is a Fortune 500 company with insurance, reinsurance, and investment operations around the world.
Dan leads the Mid South Region, one of Markel Specialty’s six regions. Markel Specialty is a diversified specialty insurer offering products in the casualty, property, professional lines, and surety segments of the business. Insuring businesses from Main Street to Wall Street, Markel Specialty offers innovative admitted and non-admitted solutions to individuals, small businesses, Fortune 1000 companies, and everything in between. Products are distributed through appointed retail agents, wholesale brokers, and intermediaries including underwriting authority delegated to managing general agents (MGAs) and managing general underwriters (MGUs), as well as insurtech and other alternative distribution platforms.
Dan began his career in the insurance industry with a monoline workers compensation carrier which was acquired by Markel in 2010. He has held various ascending positions since starting as a field sales associate in 2005, relocating six times for new opportunities.
Dan graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in business administration and a concentration in marketing. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designations and is a licensed property and casualty producer. He serves on the board of the Southeast Division of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and on Markel’s Diversity & Inclusion Global Steering Committee. Dan lives just north of Dallas in Prosper, Texas, with his wife Mandy and their three children: Ashton, Aubrey, and Avery.
Ben Ramundt serves as President of RT Specialty – Texas anda casualty insurance team leader. Ben joined RT Specialty’s Chicago office in2010, and then moved to RT’s Dallas office in 2012 to act as co-president and acasualty producer, where he grew a small team of six to a region-spanningoperation that was responsible for over $1 billion in written premium in 2021. Benspecializes in tough-to-place casualty business, including construction,manufacturing, trucking, real estate, and non-profit insurance.
Prior to joining RT Specialty, Ben spent nine years with CRCInsurance Services, rising to Vice President of Casualty for their Chicagooffice. He began his insurance career in 1999 as a claims adjuster for AlliedInsurance.
Ben graduated from Iowa State University with a degree infinance. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife Holly and their threechildren, and he has been an Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation boardmember since 2013.
Tim Rau is Regional Executive Officer - SouthwestRegion for Chubb. He is responsible foroverseeing Regional Operations and representing the entire Chubb Global Enterprisefor Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Colorado, Utah, SouthernNevada and Wyoming.
Tim joined Chubb Global Casualty in 2004 as SeniorVice President and Branch Manager of the Dallas Major Accounts operation. Hewas responsible for all aspects of the operation including underwriting, clientrelations, recruiting and retaining the top talent in the business.
Tim has over 30 years experience in the insurancebusiness holding various underwriting management, business development and branchmanagement positions at CIGNA Special Risk in New York and Dallas and CNA RiskManagement in Dallas, Chicago and Denver.
Tim received his BBA and MBA from The College ofInsurance (now St. John’s University School of Insurance and Risk Management) andholds his CPCU designation from the American Institute of Property and CasualtyInsurance.
Mark is the head of Sales & Distribution for The Hartford’s Middle & Large Commercial business with national sales responsibilities for enterprise distribution and sales execution strategy with the country’s largest agents and brokers.
Prior to his current role, Mark was the Division Executive for The Hartford’s Middle and Large Commercial business responsible for underwriting and enterprise distribution in Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas and Houston regional offices.
Before joining Hartford in 2016, Mark worked for Zurich North America in key leadership roles, including Regional Executive (Atlanta), Area Executive (Houston) and Global Broker Relationship Leader. In addition, he has a strong understanding of broker and carrier relations from his previous work experience at McGriff, Seibels& Williams, Willis Towers Watson, AIG and Assurant Group.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and completed an executive leadership program at Southern Methodist University. He was formerly the Co-Chairman of the Board for Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Southeast Division and previous board member of Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Gulf Coast and Louisiana Chapter. He lives in Dallas with his wife Kimberly and their two children.
Jessica Soufrine is the Vice President of Field Marketing & Underwriting (FMU) for Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company.
In this role, Ms. Soufrine is responsible for Amerisure’s underwriting operations and relationship management activities. Asa member of the company’s operational leadership team, she leads the FMU department in driving profitable growth with Amerisure’s Partners For Success®agencies.
Since joining Amerisure in 2008 as a Marketing Underwriter, Ms. Soufrine has held roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Marketing Underwriter, FMU Manager and Assistant Vice President of FMU. Most recently, she served as the Regional Vice President of FMU for the company’s west region. Prior to joining Amerisure, she worked for Travelers in its claims department.
Ms. Soufrine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication and advertising from Appalachian State University. She currently serves as on the Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
Kyle Stevens began his career with Western Security Surplus, later becoming XPT. Now serving as Group Executive Vice President, Kyle has played a key role in XPT’s industry leading growth and commitment to service through new product development, services and technologies to best serve clients.
Kyle is also dedicated to volunteering, focusing on organizations that serve children and families in need. His past efforts include starting a 501c3 organization to benefit three children who tragically lost their parents in a car accident. He is continuously working to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing difficult circumstances.
W. Martin Yung, ARM was appointed President and CEO of HUB International Insurance Texas on January 1, 2014. Mr. Yung previously served as the Area President for HUB International Insurance Services in El Paso, Texas. He was formerly the CEO and President of JDW Insurance prior to HUB acquiring the firm on September 1,2012. Mr. Yung is also a member of HUB International Ltd. Executive Committee (ECM).
Mr. Yung graduated from Carson-Newman University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He is a Texas Licensed Risk Manager and earned the designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM). He has continued the process of advanced learning through Executive Education courses at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and successfully completed Harvard Business School’s President’s Program in Leadership.
Mr. Yung is active in community affairs as well as many professional organizations. He is currently on the Board of Regents at Carson Newman University, a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) Board, Co-Chair of the DRC Member Experience Council, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Gold Dallas Chapter, Chair of the DFW FCA Executive Board, and a member of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Board (IICF).
Mr. Yung is a past member of the Board of El Paso/Juarez Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) where he served as Membership Chair, Education Chair and Chapter Chair. He was a member of the Advisory Board of JPMorgan Chase Bank El Paso, a founding member of the Board of Borderplex Alliance, a Bi-National Economic Alliance, a member of the Board of Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, formerly the President of the Board of Intersure, an international consortium of insurance brokers, was a member of the Board, Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of El Paso Regional Economic Development Corporation (REDCo), a former Trustee of St. Clement’s Parish School, a former Trustee of El Paso Symphony Orchestra Association, a past Board member of Texas Institute for Health Policy Research in Austin, Texas, a past President and Board member of Sunturians, Inc., a former member of Providence Memorial Hospital’s Finance Committee, a former member of the Advisory Board for Far West Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a past member and Chairman of CNA Insurance Company’s Regional PACER Counsel, a past Board member of Big Red Captive Insurance, Ltd., and served as Vice President of Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso.
