Southeast Division

Helping Communities, Together

Launched in 2012, the Southeast Division is based in Dallas and serves communities in Texas and across the Southeast region, with greater outreach through our Georgia and Houston Chapters. Our grant focus areas include disaster preparedness and relief, children at risk, education and veterans. To date, the Southeast Division has awarded more than $9 million dollars to our local communities through the IICF Community Grants Program.

We continue to experience the generosity of our industry as we work together with colleagues and supporters who make giving back a priority. Helping those in need, including children, families and veterans, is made possible by uniting in service to our communities, and through IICF we are able to make an even greater impact."

Chair of the IICF Southeast Division Board of Directors and Regional President, Mid South, Markel Specialty

Jack Gibson
IRMI & WebCe

Jack Gibson, CPCU, CRIS, ARM, is one of a rare breed who actually majored in risk and insurance in college. Upon earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia, he realized he wasn’t ready to leave the good life of college or give up on UGA’s football chances. So he stayed to enjoy two more football seasons while earning an MBA and completing the CPCU program.

Jack began his career as a risk management consultant in Dallas, advising public entities, financial institutions and contractors. He left consulting in 1982 to join the IRMI leadership team that built the company into the premier risk and insurance education, information and conference organization it is today. As part of this process he initiated an IRMI partnership with a dot-com start-up called WebCE in 2000 and helped build it into the largest insurance CE provider in the country, with IRMI ultimately acquiring WebCE in 2011. He currently serves as CEO of both companies.

Jack is a member of the CPCU Society, having held many committee and officer positions, including president of the Dallas Chapter, and serving on the International CPCU Society’s board of directors.

In 1996, he was honored as University of Georgia’s Outstanding Insurance Alumnus of the year. In 2009, the Society of Risk Management Consultants designated him as an honorary member in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the practice of risk management. In 2017 he was elected an Honorary Fellow in the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel for his “contributions to the practice of insurance law and having attained a high degree of respect and eminence.” In 2018 the CPCU Society honored him with the prestigious Gottheimer Malecki Memorial Award.
