The IICF Northeast Division Grant Committee takes their responsibilities seriously and has a rigorous review process for their grant selection. 

Every successful grant applicant must provide documentation that supports the following selection criteria.  The organization must be/have: 

  • 501(c)(3) Public Charity Status
  • Non-discriminatory - Benefits of the organization are not limited to a specific race, religious group organization 
  • Non-lobbying and not supporting political candidates
  • Financially viable
  • Program expenses >75%
  • Clearly defined mission statement
  • Mission and/or nature of grant which is in-line with the IICF New York grant priorities (focus areas) in effect at time of application
  • Clearly stated and measurable success criteria for grant
  • Clearly defined and stated method/plan for monitoring/measuring success of the grant
  • Itemized budget for the amount requested
