Dallas, TX (July 17, 2012) – The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) announced the appointment of Carol Mason as Executive Director of the newly launched Southeast Division. The IICF combines the collective resources and talents of the insurance industry to give back to communities through grants, volunteer service and leadership.

“The Southeast board is delighted to welcome Ms. Mason to the Foundation,” commented Bill Henry, Chairman & CEO, MHB&T Inc. and IICF Southeast Division Chairman. “Carol is a proven leader with deep ties to the Texas community. Carol’s extensive experience in project management, event production, and design will greatly contribute to the growth of the IICF here in Texas and across the Southeast.”

Ms. Mason possesses a strong philanthropic commitment to the Texas nonprofit community. Applying her experience in fundraising and event coordination, Ms. Mason has been actively involved with a number of community-based organizations and has maintained leadership positions with the Junior League of Dallas and the Dallas Woman’s Club.

In addition to her community work, Ms. Mason boasts a long and distinguished 40-plus-year career as an interior design professional. Ms. Mason holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Texas Christian University located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Southeast Division was launched in May of 2012 and is based in Dallas, Texas. The Southeast Division is the IICF’s fourth regional division, joining established divisions in the Midwest, New-York and the Northeast and the Western United States. As a national nonprofit, the IICF has provided over $18 million in community grants and over 155,000 volunteer service hours to local community organizations.
