Walnut Creek, CA (March 11, 2014) – The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has announced that its 15th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP) Forum will take place on April 10, 2014 in Walnut Creek, CA. The event will feature insurance experts discussing key issues affecting the industry today. All proceeds from the event will benefit raising funds and awareness to prevent child abuse and neglect.

The theme of this year's CAPP Forum is "Forecasting the Future." Speakers will discuss a variety of topics pertaining to scientific innovations and workers compensation reform that directly impact the industry today. Keynote speakers will consist of the following experts:

"The annual CAPP Forum is an opportunity for the industry to gather for a morning of quality insight from some of the greatest leaders and minds within the industry," said Jim Lubman, IICF-CAPP Chair and Senior Vice President, Zenith Insurance. "What's more, the Forum is a great way to help sustain a sense of community in the Bay Area Insurance Industry. Of course we are also proud to raise money for local organizations that champion the vital cause of preventing child abuse. In our fifteen years we have raised and granted over $308,000 to local recipients."

The Forum will take place at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek on April 10. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m., followed by the program from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Qualifying participants will be able to earn three CE credits for attending the Forum.
